People’s Forum for Democracy, Peace and Development.

Visthar is in the process of expanding our work to other parts of North Karnataka with a focus on actions for peace and democracy. Visthar will focus on issues of migration and migrant labor, child labor and the devadasi system. Interventions will be in the areas of constructive development activities, advocacy and campaigns, and research and development. This will be carried out by a people’s forum of NGOs, academics, journalists and other progressive forces committed to the issues of democracy, peace and development with Visthar playing the role of the Secretariat.
